Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Super Log Cabins (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates SuperLogCabins.com (“the Site”), a log-cabin guide site. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit, how we use it, the legal basis for processing, and your choices and rights.

Note: This is not legal advice. For a monetized site, run the final version past a lawyer or a generator such as Termly or iubenda before treating it as final.

Who is responsible for your data (data controller)

The data controller for this Site is Super Log Cabins, operating from Pakistan. The full legal business name has not yet been confirmed for publication, so it is not stated here. No contact email address is published on this page, because no contact email has been supplied for the Site. For privacy questions, please use our Contact page: https://superlogcabins.com/contact/

1. Information we collect

a) Information collected automatically (technical data). Like most websites, our hosting server logs basic technical data when you visit: the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, approximate location (city/country level, derived from your IP address), browser type, device type, and the site that referred you. We use this to keep the site working and understand which content is useful.

b) Analytics – Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics (installed via Google’s Site Kit plugin) to understand aggregate site usage, for example which guides are read most. It sets cookies and may collect your IP address, device and browser details, pages visited, and time spent. Google processes this data on our behalf; some of it may be transferred to the United States. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking via Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

c) Advertising – Google AdSense. We display ads served by Google AdSense. AdSense and its partners use cookies to serve ads, including interest-based ads based on your prior browsing. This may involve profiling across websites. Google’s own privacy policy governs this processing: https://policies.google.com/privacy

d) Newsletter. There is currently no working newsletter on this Site – the newsletter signup blocks shown on the Site are placeholders and do not collect your email address. If we activate a newsletter service later, we will update this policy first.

e) What we do NOT collect. The Site has no contact form and comments are disabled, so we do not collect names, messages, or user-submitted content. We do not collect account information because the Site has no user accounts.

2. Affiliate links

Some links and banner ads on this Site are affiliate links – for example, our banner for Jamaica Cottage Shop. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not change what we recommend: we cover cabin kits, materials, and gear we believe are useful for log-cabin builders. Where required by law (for example, the US FTC), we place a disclosure next to affiliate content on the same page, not only in this policy.

3. Cookies and consent

We and our third parties use cookies for: strictly necessary functions (for example, remembering basic site preferences) – these do not require your consent; and analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, AdSense, and their partners) – these are non-essential. A cookie-consent banner and a “Cookie settings” link in the Site footer have not yet been added to this Site; that requires a separate cookie-consent plugin decision, which has not been made in this update. Until such a tool is installed, you can control cookies by deleting or blocking cookies in your browser, and you can opt out of personalized advertising at https://adssettings.google.com

Legal basis (EU/UK GDPR). We process data on these bases: consent – for analytics and advertising cookies; legitimate interests – for basic server logs and site security (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), balanced against your rights; we keep this data minimal; and legal obligations – where retention is required by law.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as follows: with our processors: Google (Analytics, AdSense) – as described above; and with authorities, if required by applicable law. Google AdSense’s use of data for its own purposes (ad personalization) may qualify as “sharing” or “selling” under California law – see Section 6.

5. Data retention

No specific retention period for server logs or for Google Analytics data is stated in this version of the policy, because those settings have not been confirmed. Server logs are kept only for as long as needed to keep the site working and secure, then deleted or anonymized, and the specific period will be added once it is confirmed. We do not maintain other personal-data stores (no newsletter list, no accounts, no contact-form submissions).

6. Your rights – California and other US states

Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction of your information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because AdSense personalizes ads, you can opt out of personalized advertising at https://adssettings.google.com and by blocking cookies in your browser. To exercise any right, contact us via our Contact page at https://superlogcabins.com/contact/ ; we respond within the legally required timeframe.

7. Your rights – EU, UK, and other jurisdictions

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (withdrawing consent does not affect prior lawful processing). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Contact us via our Contact page at https://superlogcabins.com/contact/ and we will respond.

8. International transfers

Analytics and advertising data processed by Google may be transferred outside your country, including to the United States, under Google’s contractual safeguards (for example, Standard Contractual Clauses). See https://policies.google.com/privacy for details.

9. Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we activate a newsletter, add a contact form, or change analytics/advertising providers. The “last updated” date at the top shows the latest version.

11. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data: please use our Contact page at https://superlogcabins.com/contact/ . No email address is published here, because no contact email has been supplied for the Site.
